How come I'm the guy always keeping watch?

Stiles' mother died when he was young of a brain tumor. Since then, it's just been him and his father. They'd been making it all right so when Stiles got the invitation to SHIELD, he'd tossed it on top of his desk and forgotten about it, until he'd learnt that his friends--Lydia and Scott--had been invited as well. However, it still didn't come up in the Stilinski house until his father found the letter. Stiles hadn't wanted to leave his father alone, but after some discussion and a lot of thought, he accepted the invitation.

Abilities/Powers: Stiles is a bright kid, but not overly so. In fact, he occasionally does some really stupid things. He's got no special abilities or powers, but he's loyal, brave and willing to follow his friends into pretty much anything. He is pretty awesome with a baseball bat, just not playing baseball.
